Christmas Day - Church Wedding

Christmas Day was the also the big day for Uncle Timothy and Auntie Nancy. They hosted their wedding lunch at Chjmes and we were one of the invited guests. Before the lunch, the bride, accompanied by her mom, walked down the aisle. It was a beautiful moment.



We also took the opportunity to take some pictures in the vicinity.

1st Christmas Party

We had an early christmas party at uncle Joseph's place today. Though you were too young to understand reasons behind the celebration, you were overwhelmed with the amount of toys and gifts as well as presence of children, aunties & uncles. You received several presents and many photos were taken. It was so challenging to take photo of you with the christmas hat on. Mummy had to hold down both your hands to prevent you from pulling it off. It was an enjoyable evening for all :>

1st Victory!

Daddy and mummy were surprised when the MC of the baby show annouced that "champion of cutest baby contest is C4 - Nigel Kway"! You are also the 2nd runner-up of the healthy baby contest of the same baby show. When you were up on the stage, you were busy biting the trophy and oblivious of the audiences in the hall.

Your picture was put up in the board together with the other participants of the cutest baby contest before the parade in front of a panel of 3 judges. Coincidently, Etern GG photo was placed on top of yours. He was also one of the top 5 winners of the contest. Hooray to both babies! :>

It was a long day for you and real hard work! You looked so tired towards the end of the event.

Ikea

We went to Ikea to get blanket for you as you have outgrown the "baby blanket" you are currently using! You enjoyed shopping and observing the shoppers. While mummy was alone with you, a stranger came up and said "your son is extremely adorable"! Mummy was very pleased to get such compliments! This man is so generous with nice words :>

West Coast Park

We were up early today and decided to bring you to West Coast Park. It is a popular park for dog lovers to walk their dogs. Though this was not your first visit, you were more alert and curious of the surroundings compared to your first visit a few months back. We were not very lucky today as we saw only 3 dogs in total after spending almost 2 hours at the park. But it was a fruitful trip as you enjoyed watching people playing baseball, the vessels by the coast and strolling around the park. It was a morning well spent :>

Koi Pond

We brought you to the koi pond at Suntec City today and spent almost half an hour just watching the fishes swimming freely in the pond. These fishes were overfed by visitors and looked so "pregnant"! You were happy sitting on daddy's lap and watching the fishes by the pond.

"happy boy, happy boy" - this is what Charmaine JJ always calls you whenever you give her a big wide smile. This picture was taken today when you woke up from your morning nap and were energized.

Playmate

Ah Mah flat @ Jurong

Two boys having a good time in the play-pan. Aidan GG knows how to "sayang" you though he is only 7 months older than you. Aidan GG will be at Ah Mah's house whenever Jui Jui needs to work morning shift. It is such a joy to have both boys playing together but it is hard work for Ah Mah to look after both and cook for the family, even with help from auntie Tummy and auntie Tess.

Visit to Zoo

We visited the zoo today, together with Uncle Joseph, Auntie Rachael and Etern GG. You were pretty responsive whenever we pointed out animals to you. You seems to recognise tiger as mummy has been showing you flash card which has a picture of tiger.

We rushed through most of the exhibits as we were trying to make it for the elephant show. It started to drizzle before we reached the tentage for spectators. Then it suddenly poured for almost an hour. We have to stay in the tentage which was crowded and hot. You were well-behaved though it was not comfortable at all. Luckily we have the company of the elephants! We took some pictures with the elephants when the rain stopped.

Then it was getting late and we have to head towards the exit. Luckily Uncle Joseph did not forget to take pictures for the two babies!

First Word - "mum-mum"

Since a few days ago, you started saying "mum mum" on several occasions. We thought it was just one of random baby words which you uttered and didn't pay too much attention. We were wrong, you actually know how to associate "mum mum" with food! This morning you refused to take your morning nap and said "mum mum". Mummy ignored you the first time but you were persistent and said it again. Mummy got it now. You will say "mum mum" when you want food. You fell asleep once you finished the bottle of milk you asked for. Since then, we noticed that you would say "mum mum" when you want porridge, biscuit, water etc..

Though mummy would be very happy if you first word is "ma ma", "mum mum" is an important word for survival especially when you are staying with daddy and mummy! Now mummy knows you will not go hungry :>

First Dip @ Pool

Daddy and mummy brought you to the pool and this was the first time you got into the pool (no longer sitting by the poolside!). You were so eager to enter the pool. Once you entered the pool, you were smiling and giggling all the way (you were not afraid of the icy water). Your laughter is so contagious and mummy is really glad that you are such jovial boy :>

Brazilian Friends

Mummy's brazilian friends (Auntie Elaine and Uncle Rafael) were in Singapore for holiday and we brought you along to meet them. We started the day by meeting them in their hotel, went to One Fullerton for photo taking with Merlion and lunch at Palm Beach. After lunch, we went to Bugis to pray at the popular Buddhist template. Then we drove around before going to Mount Faber for afternoon tea (of cos coffee for mummy!). The whole day events were new experiences for you and you were so excited and enjoyed yourself. Mummy was also very happy and were looking forward to this day. Mummy met Auntie Elaine in Brazil during one of my business trips, we met again in Amsterdam and now in Singapore. The world is not that big after all!

Baby Can Swim

We brought you for swim at Hwa Xia, together with Etern GG. It is a indoor "tub"! Initially mummy was afraid that you may be too tall to enjoy swimming in the tub, but mummy was wrong. You were so eager to get into the tub even before the staff managed to put on neck float for you. The moment you entered the tub, you hold on to the float and started kicking and splashing water. You really enjoyed yourself. Those people standing outside the shop also enjoyed watching you. You spent about half an hour in the tub till you were exhausted. Mummy is now convinced that you are ready for the real pool!

Birthday Party

We attended Gillian's 6th birthday party today - a "princess party"! Gillian JJ dressed up as a princess - same costume as the princess in "princess island". Her dream of becoming a princess came true!

Nice Pictures

Uncle Joseph took so many nice pictures of you when we went for Dim Sum buffet at Novena Square to celebrate auntie AnnJee's birthday. You were very cooperative and enjoyed the attention showered by all the aunties and uncles. Daddy is contemplating whether to buy the same camera as Uncle Joseph after looking at these great pictures. Mummy thinks it has to do with photo taking skill more than the camera, so buying the camera will not help!!

Baby Show

We got out of the house early today and went to Telok Blangah CC for the baby show which we have registered you for. There were so many babies. They were all dressed up for the event and anxious parents were waiting patiently for their babies to be examined by the judges. You were put on the baby weighing machine and you almost exceeded the max scale of 12kg. You were 11.8 kg! Throughout the morning, you were well-behaved but got very tired with the long wait. You have fallen asleep by the time the winners were annouced. Though you are not one of the winners, you are always the "champion" of daddy and mummy :>

VTech 3-in-1 driver

We went to Mothercare at Harbourfront after the baby show with Ah Mah, Charmaine JJ, Chloe JJ, Uncle Leng Hong, Cuiyi Ah Yi and Sarah JJ. The store was quiet with few customers before our visit. Mummy is impressed with the store as toys on display can be "tested"! See, you were having fun with JJ pushing you around in the store. You like it so much that you refused to part with it. Daddy ended up buying it for you. Daddy fixed it up immediately when we reached home and you were already playing it in the evening. Let's hope your interest will last.

Shoes

Mummy has been searching for your shoes but was not able to find any which has soft sole and big enough for your feet. Cuiyi Ah Yi and Uncle Leng Hong found and bought you this pair of shoes. Surprisely, it is too big for you. As a result, Cuiyi Ah Yi, Uncle Leng Hong and mummy actually had an in-depth discussion over coffee what to do with the shoes - to change for smaller size, to change to another design...! We were so excited mainly because of the upcoming baby show which you will be participating! We were hoping that you can wear this new pair of shoes for the show :>

Pinic @ Botanic Garden

We went to Botanic Garden in the evening to join Cuiyi Ah Yi, Uncle Leng Hong and Sarah JJ for pinic. We were enjoying ourselves with chips, drinks, wine etc and not paying too much attention to the piano concert at the centre stage. Though you were not able to enjoy the food and drinks, you were excited with the surrounding and this new experience. Sarah JJ brought along her bubble machine and so many children gathered around to play with the bubble. Very soon, you will be able to run around with the JJ and GG or even roll on the grass.

Happy Children's Day

Aidan home @ Kerrisdale

We visited Aidan GG and Gillian JJ at home today. You were fascinated with the toys they have and enjoyed yourself since they were willing to share with you the toys. However, when mummy tried to place Aidan GG next to you for photo taking, you actually hit him and he cried out of fear. After several unsuccessful attempts to put you two together, you ended up being alone in the photo. You are a BIG bully, aren't you!

Sleeping Angel

Very often, you doze off in the car seat shortly after we hit the road. It is amazing how fast and how well you can sleep in the seat! But it is a blessing for daddy and mummy :>

Fun at the pool

You were enjoying yourself when daddy and mummy brought you to the poolside. Then we decided to let you have a taste of the water though you were not properly attired to get into the pool!

Lesson Time

You were so focused when mummy were showing you the flesh cards. Your attention span will usually last 4 rounds of about 20 cards. Mummy can only do this with you during weekends, though it should be done everyday. Nevertheless, hope you will gain in one way or another. Thanks to Cuiyi Ah Yi who lent us this set of cards.
